On November 19-20, as part of the programme accreditation of the AP "Nursing", ANQA’s expert panel conducts an external review at the Vanadzor State Medical College.
The members of the expert panel are Gohar Mkrtchyan, head of the Education Quality Assurance Centre at the Armenian Medical Institute, Candidate of Philological Sciences, Associate Professor, Tereza Ghazaryan, teacher at the Yerevan Medical College after Mehrabyan, Ishkhan Sokhakyan, head of the Pathoanatomical Department and medical advisor to the director at the "ROTONDA" LLC, teacher at the Armenian Medical Institute, Candidate of Medical Sciences, Naira Hunanyan, teacher at the Mkhitar Gosh Armenian-Russian International University, senior researcher at the L. A. Orbeli Institute of Physiology of the NAS RA, Candidate of Biological Sciences, Anna Stepanyan, a student of the AP "Nursing" at the Kotayk Regional State College.
The process coordinators are Anahit Terteryan and Liana Alaverdyan, specialists at ANQA’s Institutional and Programme Accreditation Division.
As part of the external review, the expert panel met with the education institution’s management staff, managers of the AP "Nursing", teachers, students, alumni, career guidance specialist, internship coordinator and internal quality assurance manager. The experts carried out class observations, as well as observation of resources and internship settings.
Following the site visit, the expert panel will compile a report, evaluating the implementation of the AP "Nursing" against seven programme accreditation criteria. The experts will point out the enhancement areas and provide relevant recommendations, guiding the institution in the preparation of a follow-up plan with a clear schedule.
Next on, ANQA’s Accreditation Committee will make a decision whether to grant accreditation or reject it after studying the package of documents and holding meetings with the education institution’s representatives and experts.
