On October 20-22, as part of the institutional accreditation, ANQA’s expert panel conducts an external review at the Masis State Agricultural College.
The chair of the expert panel is Gagik Ktryan, Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, teacher at the European University of Armenia, head at the Department of Quality Assurance of the Armenian State Institute of Physical Culture and Sport. The members of the expert panel are Heghine Gevorgyan, PhD, assistant professor, researcher at the Research Institute of Biology and the Yerevan State University, Kristine Nurijanyan, teacher at the Kotayk Regional State College, Khachik Avetisyan, student at the French University in Armenia.
The process coordinator is Anahit Terteryan, specialist at ANQA’s Institutional and Programme Accreditation Division.
Prior to the site visit, the expert panel studied the education institution's self-evaluation report, the documents attached, as well as conducted desk review.
As part of the external review, meetings were held with the education institution’s management staff, the group responsible for the preparation of self-evaluation, alumni, employers, academic programmes’ managers, the quality assurance manager, and a number of other stakeholders. Class observations and resource observation were also conducted.
The expert panel had "professional talks" with the managers, teaching staff, and students of the Aps "Management (by branches)", "Greenhouse Economy" and "Tobacco Growing and Processing Technology".
The process coming after the site visit is the preparation of an expert panel report, which points out the strengths and weaknesses of the institution and contains the recommendations of the expert panel. Based on that report, the education institution will prepare a follow-up plan with a clear schedule.
Next on, ANQA’s Accreditation Committee will make a decision whether to grant accreditation or reject it after studying the package of documents and holding meetings with the education institution’s representatives and experts.
