On October 20-22, as part of the institutional accreditation, ANQA’s expert panel conducts an external review at the Gyumri State Musical College named after Kara-Murza.
The chair of the expert panel is Armenuhi Mheryan, head of the Department of Finance and Banking at the European University of Armenia, Candidate of Economics, Associate Professor. The members of the expert panel are Hripsime Maronyan, teacher at the Chair of Fine Arts, Faculty of Art Education, Khachatur Abovian Armenian State Pedagogical University, Naira Khachatryan, music teacher at the Yerevan State Musical-Pedagogical College Named After Arno Babajanyan and Art School named after Gh. Saryan, Ani Shahbazyan, student at the Department of Computing Equipment and Automated Systems Software at the Yerevan State College of Light Industry.
The process coordinator is Meri Barseghyan, specialist at ANQA’s Policy Development Division.
Prior to the site visit, the expert panel studied the education institution's self-evaluation report, the documents attached, as well as conducted desk review.
As part of the external review, meetings were held with the education institution’s management staff, the group responsible for the preparation of self-evaluation, alumni, employers, academic programmes’ managers. Class observations and resource observation were also conducted.
The expert panel had "professional talks" with the managers, teaching staff, and students of the Aps "Design", "Instrumental Performing Arts" and "Singing".
Meetings with quality assurance managers and other stakeholders are also planned.
The process coming after the site visit is the preparation of an expert panel report, which points out the strengths and weaknesses of the institution and contains the recommendations of the expert panel. Based on that report, the education institution will prepare a follow-up plan with a clear schedule.
Next on, ANQA’s Accreditation Committee will make a decision whether to grant accreditation or reject it after studying the package of documents and holding meetings with the education institution’s representatives and experts.
