As part of the upcoming institutional accreditation, the Charentsavan State College and the Badeyan State College of Vardenis will undergo site visits.
On May 23, ANQA held a meeting with the expert panels from both VET institutions, ANQA’s director, head of Institutional and Programme Accreditation Division and coordinators. The discussions addressed the issues and main hypotheses drawn from the desk review process, which the experts will observe during the upcoming visit. The key topics of discussion were:
Structure and management of academic programmes
- the academic programmes’ compliance with regional needs;
- the management of diverse academic programmes in resource-limited conditions;
- academic programme enhancement based on data-driven decisions.
Student-centered teaching and research development
- the mechanisms used for students’ formative assessment;
- the students’ engagement in research activities;
- the mechanisms for the development of analytical skills;
- the formats for the organisation of research activities.
Data-driven management
- the approaches for the analysis and application of survey results;
- the skills in data-driven decision-making.
Connection between employers and educational institutions
- the need to strengthen cooperation with employers;
- the models of cooperation within education and medical programmes.
At the end of the discussion, it was highlighted that expert recommendations should be clearly formulated, practical, and solution-oriented, providing ways to tackle the education institutions’ challenges. It was also noted that the expert panel reports should contain complete and substantiated information to support the Accreditation Committee in data-driven and objective decision-making.
