ANQA continues the training “Building Innovative Teaching Capacities in VET (Development of Research and Digital Skills)”, implemented with the support of the H. Hovnanian Family Foundation. On March 16, another online session was conducted for teachers from the medical VET institutions. During the session, the teachers shared their lesson plans, receiving feedback and enhancement-led recommendations from the training specialists.
Building on their work, the teachers designed lesson plans based on their research questions and piloted them with students to achieve clearer and more measurable outcomes. The discussions highlighted that research activities should not be conducted as an end in themselves, but rather as a means to develop students' practical skills. The emphasis was on students’ ability to engage in research, make observations and comparisons and develop evidence-based solutions to daily professional issues for application in their practice.
The teachers received recommendations for the enhancement of lesson plans. It was suggested to revise the plans and continue classroom pilots for further result analysis.
In the next session, the teachers will share the results of their pilots and again receive feedback from the trainers.
This process enables teachers to develop their capacities, integrating theoretical knowledge with practical experience, thereby fostering the effective development of students' research skills grounded in real medical data.
