On September 22-24, as part of institutional accreditation, ANQA’s expert panel conducts an external review at the Gavar State College of Arts.
The chair of the expert panel is Gayane Avetisyan, head of the Quality Assurance Department at the M. Nalbandyan State University of Shirak, Candidate of Geographical Sciences, Associate Professor. The members of the expert panel are Yelena Movsesyan, deputy director for organisational and educational activities at the Yerevan State College of Fine Arts named after Panos Terlemezian, Anna Manaseryan, teacher of canon at Yerevan Music School Named After T. Chukhajyan and Ararat Specialized Secondary Art School After Ghazaros Saryan, Vova Arzumanyan, student at the Chair of Screenwriting and Dramaturgy of the Faculty of Art History, Theory and Management of the Yerevan State Theatre and Film Institute.
The process coordinator is Meri Barseghyan, specialist at ANQA’s Policy Development Division.
Prior to the site visit, the expert panel studied the institutions' self-evaluation report, the documents attached, as well as conducted a desk review.
As part of the external review, the expert panel carried out class observations and resource observation. The panel held meetings with the education institution's management staff, the group responsible for the preparation of self-evaluation alumni, employers and academic programme managers.
The expert panel will have "professional talks" with the managers, teaching staff and students of the Aps "Fine Art", "Instrumental Performing Arts" and "Singing".
Meetings with students, heads of divisions, quality assurance managers and other stakeholders are also planned.
Following the site visit, the expert panel will compile a report, evaluating the education institution's activities against ten accreditation criteria. The experts will point out the enhancement areas and provide relevant recommendations, guiding the institution in the preparation of a follow-up plan with a clear schedule.
Next on, ANQA’s Accreditation Committee will make a decision whether to grant accreditation or reject it after studying the package of documents and holding meetings with the education institution’s representatives and experts.
