On September 10, the Global Academic Integrity Network (GAIN) held a meeting, with ANQA joining as a newly admitted member.
Meri Barseghyan, specialist at ANQA’s Policy Development Division, presented the agency's mission, values and key areas of activity. Meri Barseghyan noted that ANQA attaches particular importance to academic integrity in the State Accreditation Criteria, which requires education institutions to establish well-defined policies and mechanisms to prevent and detect plagiarism and related violations.
In addition to the introduction of new members — Armenia, Qatar, Belgium, and China — the meeting’s agenda addressed several topics, including the use of AI in student assessment and international practices in preventing plagiarism and commercial academic cheating services.
