On October 13-15, as part of institutional accreditation, ANQA’s expert panel conducts an external review at the College of Shushi University of Technology.
The chair of the expert panel is Hermine Grigoryan, Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Associate Professor, dean at the Faculty of Natural Sciences of Vanadzor State University after Hovhannes Tumanyan. The members of the expert panel are Oleg Gevorgyan, Candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor, deputy director for Science, Technological Cooperation and External Relations at the Institute of Information and Telecommunication Technologies and Electronics of the National Polytechnic University of Armenia, Susanna Ordoyan, head of the dual academic programme at the Stepanavan State Agricultural College named after Professor A. Kalantar, Garegin Davtyan, student of the AP "Computing Equipment and Automated Systems Software" at the Yerevan State College of Light Industry.
The process coordinator is Lianna Alaverdyan, specialist at ANQA’s Institutional and Programme Accreditation Division.
Prior to the site visit, the expert panel studied the education institution's self-evaluation report, the documents attached, as well as conducted class observations, resource observation and desk review.
As part of the external review, the expert panel held meetings with the education institution's management staff, the group responsible for the preparation of self-evaluation, students, alumni and employers.
The expert panel will have "professional talks" with the managers, teaching staff and students of the Aps "Organisation of Rural (farming) Economy", "Accounting" and "Urban Development Cadastre".
Meetings with students, teachers, heads of chairs, heads of divisions, the QA manager and other stakeholders are also planned.
The process coming after the site visit is the preparation of an expert panel report, which points out the enhancement areas and contains the recommendations of the expert panel. Based on that report, the education institution will prepare a follow-up plan with a clear schedule.
Next on, ANQA’s Accreditation Committee will make a decision whether to grant accreditation or reject it after studying the package of documents and holding meetings with the education institution’s representatives and experts.
