On May 26-28, as part of institutional accreditation, ANQA’s expert panel conducts an external review at the Charentsavan State College.
The chair of the expert panel is Hermine Grigoryan, Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Associate Professor, Dean at the Faculty of Natural Sciences of Vanadzor State University named after H. Tumanyan. The members of the expert panel are Elen Harutyunyan, teacher at the National Polytechnic University of Armenia, deputy dean at the Faculty of Applied Mathematics and Physics of the same institution, Esfira Khachatryan, teacher at the Kotayk Regional State College, Lilit Sahakyan, student at the European University of Armenia.
The process coordinator is Lilit Ghazaryan, specialist at ANQA’s Secretariat.
Prior to the site visit, the expert panel studied the education institution's self-evaluation report, the documents attached, as well as conducted desk review.
As part of the external review, the expert panel held meetings with the education institution's management staff, the group responsible for the preparation of self-evaluation, students, alumni, employers, teachers and representatives of the divisions.
The expert panel had "professional talks" with the managers, teaching staff and students of the Aps "Organisation of Service in Hotels and Tourist Complexes", "Operation and Repair of Vehicles" and "Cooking".
A meeting with quality assurance manager, class observations and resource observation are also planned.
The process coming after the site visit is the preparation of an expert panel report, which points out the strengths and weaknesses of the institution and contains the recommendations of the expert panel. Based on that report, the education institution will prepare a follow-up plan with a clear schedule.
Next on, ANQA’s Accreditation Committee will make a decision whether to grant accreditation or reject it after studying the package of documents and holding meetings with the education institution’s representatives and experts.
