On May 8, ANQA held an online information session, which was attended by students from Armenian HEIs and representatives from the University of California, Davis's Article 26 Backpack Guide Training programme.
This was the second information session for Armenian students, focusing on the Article 26 Backpack's features, functions, opportunities and participation formats.
Backpack is a free, secure platform that gives students full control to store, structure and share their educational documents. It is particularly crucial for students in crisis situations who are at risk of losing their documents.
During the meeting, the Article 26 Backpack Guide Badge was introduced — an online course for students that awards the Backpack Guide Badge Microcredential upon successful completion. With this microcredential, students can help their peers and alumni navigate the platform and manage their educational documents. The course is available on the Canvas platform and offers videos, articles and tests.
Currently, the Backpack platform serves over 5,000 students from various countries worldwide, including Armenia. With over 60 registered Backpack Guides, the initiative seeks new student leaders in Armenia.
