Armenia is one of the first countries to pilot and implement the ETF diagnostic tool for VET, which aims to assess the VET system, identify best practices and bring out enhancement opportunities.
On May 21, at 10 am, a workshop "Internationalisation as a Guiding Principle for the Development of the VET System: Piloting the ETF Diagnostic Tool" will be held at the Manoogian Hall of the American University of Armenia (40 Marshal Baghramyan Ave.).
The event is organised by ANQA and the ETF.
The workshop is intended to include in-depth discussions on the tool’s five key areas, bringing together VET policymakers, managers and experts.
The participants will be welcomed by Ruben Topchyan, ANQA’s director and Mounir Baati, ETF senior specialist in VET Policies and Systems.
The workshop will be attended by:
- representatives from the RA MoESCS;
- members of ANQA’s Accreditation Committee;
- quality assurance experts;
- VET institutions’ directors and quality assurance managers.
The diagnostic tool is based on the EQAVET (European Quality Assurance in Vocational Education and Training) framework and covers five key areas:
- Policy and Governance;
- Standards Behind Qualifications;
- Provision;
- Assessment Validation and Certification;
- Data and Knowledge Creation.
The diagnostic tool for the RA VET system was introduced in October 2024 in Yerevan, followed by a series of online meetings.
The May 21 workshop aims to address unresolved issues from earlier stages, form a complete analytical overview and prepare a final summary of results.
