On December 22-24, as part of institutional accreditation, ANQA’s expert panel conducts an external review at the Aragatsotn Regional State College.
The chair of the expert panel is Asya Simonyan, teacher at the Chair of Theory and Methods of Physical Training of the M. Nalbandyan State University of Shirak, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences. The members of the expert panel are Oleg Gevorgyan, Candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor, deputy director for Science, Technological Cooperation and External Relations at the Institute of Information and Telecommunication Technologies and Electronics of the National Polytechnic University of Armenia, Gayane Hambardzumyan, deputy director for Educational Activities of the Echmiadzin State College named after Vardges Hamazaspyan, Ani Shahbazyan, student at the Department of the Computing Equipment and Automated Systems Software of the Yerevan State College of Light Industry.
The process coordinator is Meri Barseghyan, specialist at ANQA’s Policy Development Division.
Prior to the site visit, the expert panel studied the education institution's self-evaluation report, the documents attached, as well conducted desk review.
As part of the external review, the expert panel carried out class observations and resource observation. The panel held meetings with the education institution's management staff, the group responsible for the preparation of self-evaluation, students, alumni, employers, heads of divisions and teachers.
The expert panel had "professional talks" with the managers, teaching staff and students of the Aps "Technical Maintenance of Computing Equipment and Computer Networks", "Technical support of Road Construction and Improvement Works" and "Electrical Machines and Devices".
Meetings with quality assurance manager and other stakeholders are also planned.
Following the site visit, the expert panel will compile a report, evaluating the education institution's activities against ten accreditation criteria. The experts will point out the enhancement areas and provide relevant recommendations, guiding the institution in the preparation of a follow-up plan with a clear schedule.
Next on, ANQA’s Accreditation Committee will make a decision whether to grant accreditation or reject it after studying the package of documents and holding meetings with the education institution’s representatives and experts.
