On April 16, ANQA and the Yerevan State University’s Pedagogy and Education Development Center signed a memorandum of cooperation to strengthen HEI-employer collaboration and boost the competitiveness of future education managers.
The memorandum was signed by Ruben Topchyan, ANQA’s director and Nazik Harutyunyan, director of Pedagogy and Education Development Center.
Prior to the memorandum signing, Nazik Harutyunyan, director of the Pedagogy and Education Development Center, shared the Center's key activities. Varduhi Gyulazyan, head of ANQA’s Institutional and Programme Accreditation Division, provided a brief overview of the agency’s activities, strategic priorities and KPIs.
As part of the memorandum:
- Students of the AP "Education Management" will complete their internship at ANQA, engaging in real-world quality assurance processes.
- ANQA’s specialists will take part in the teaching process, offering students hands-on experience.
- ANQA and the YSU will conduct joint supervision of master's theses, allowing future education managers to carry out practical activities and research in a professional setting.
- ANQA will involve Pedagogy and Education Development Center’s teachers as experts in the education institutions’ accreditation process.
"With this memorandum, we are opening ANQA’s doors to students of the AP "Education Management". The new generation is keen to engage in practical processes as soon as possible and see the direct results of their learning", mentioned Ruben Topchyan, ANQA’s director, referring to the importance of the memorandum. "At ANQA, we have created an environment where beginners are promptly involved in quality assurance processes with the support of experienced specialists", continued Dr. Topchyan.
Addressing the relevance of the memorandum, Nazik Harutyunyan, director of the Pedagogy and Education Development Center, noted, “The cooperation with ANQA has a history of five-six years. With plans to develop and implement a joint master's programme, we have chosen to formalise our cooperation".
This new stage of cooperation aims to offer students practical education in an employer's environment, strengthening their connection with real-world work processes, thereby boosting the competitiveness of future education specialists.
