On April 16-18, ANQA’s expert panel conducts external review at the Yerevan State Armenian-Greek College of Tourism, Service and Food Industry.
The chair of the expert panel is Gagik Ktryan, Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, teacher at the European University of Armenia, head at the Department of Quality Assurance of the Armenian State Institute of Physical Culture and Sport. The members of the expert panel are Kanakara Hayrapetyan, head of the Quality Assurance Department at the Gavar State University, Candidate of Historical Sciences, Assistant Professor, Narine Hovhannisyan, teacher at the Armenian National Agrarian University, Candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor, Harutyun Chilingaryan, student at the Kotayk Regional State College’s AP "Organisation of Tourist Services with Advanced Knowledge of a Foreign Language". The process coordinator is Anahit Terteryan, specialist at ANQA’s Institutional and Programme Accreditation Division.
Prior to the site visit, the expert panel studied the education institution's self-evaluation report, the documents attached, as well as conducted class observations, resource observation and desk review.
As part of the external review, the expert panel held meetings with the education institution's management staff, the group responsible for the preparation of self-evaluation, students, alumni, employers, heads of chairs, teachers, the quality assurance manager and other stakeholders.
The expert panel had "professional talks" with the managers, teaching staff, and students of the Aps "Technology of Baking, Pasta and Confectionery", "Public Food Technology" and "Clerkship with Advanced Knowledge of a Foreign Language".
The process coming after the site visit is the preparation of an expert panel report, which points out the strengths and weaknesses of the institution and contains the recommendations of the expert panel. Based on that report, the education institution will prepare a follow-up plan with a clear schedule.
Next on, ANQA’s Accreditation Committee will make a decision whether to grant accreditation or reject it after studying the package of documents and holding meetings with the education institution’s representatives and experts.
It should be noted that in 2022, the Yerevan State Armenian-Greek College of Tourism, Service and Food Industry was granted conditional institutional accreditation for a period of two years.
