ANQA continues the preparation of student experts as part of the "Students’ Voice" project. At this stage, the course is attended only by students of medical professions, who, upon successful completion, will take part in the upcoming programme accreditation of medical VET institutions.
On August 27, the future student experts met with Ruben Topchyan, ANQA’s director. The discussion covered a number of key issues concerning the student role and student experts’ activities, particularly:
- development of professional competencies, including the peculiarities of the capacity building in the educational process, the impact of teaching methods, the significance of student assignments, the assessment role and the importance of assessment rubrics.
- experts’ capacity to formulate hypotheses, including the peculiarities of expert work, the skills of posing relevant questions and analysing information, the capacity to effectively handle documents, communicate with people and cross-check information from multiple sources.
The course combined theoretical content with practical tasks and roleplays that simulate the accreditation process. Additionally, other meetings are scheduled with experienced specialists in the field, who will share their knowledge and practice, contributing to the preparation of student experts.
