On July 17, ANQA hosted another training session for student experts as part of the "Students' Voice" project, focusing on the development of questioning, data analysis and evaluation skills in the accreditation process.
The discussion highlighted the formulation of outcome-based questions. Student experts explored how questions can be used to identify not only the institutions' processes and mechanisms, but also their impact on teaching, learning and the achievement of the intended learning outcomes.
During the practical exercise, the student participants formulated questions focused on the organisation of teaching, the student's role in the learning process, assessment methods and the feedback effectiveness. The session also addressed the triangulation of information obtained from different sources to evaluate the reliability of evidence and the interconnections between the findings.
The importance of moving beyond fact recording towards evidence-based evaluation was emphasised. The participants discussed what the collected data can reveal about the education quality, the issues it helps identify and the extent to which the mechanisms contribute to the achievement of the set goals.
The meetings held as part of the "Students' Voice" project contribute to the continuous development of student experts' competences, gradually preparing them for the expert panel activities.
