On May 13-15, a peer visit of the ETF Forum for Quality Assurance in VET took place in Skopje, the capital of North Macedonia. The main topic of the visit was the quality assurance of work-based learning.
Anahit Terteryan, a specialist from ANQA's Institutional and Programme Accreditation Division, represented Armenia at the event.
As part of the three-day visit agenda, the peers engaged in discussions with North Macedonia’s national and sectoral organisations, heads of VET institutions, employers, teachers, mentors and other key stakeholders.
The partners examined the quality assurance processes of work-based learning in the country, focusing on the models of education-labour market cooperation, tools for data collection and analysis and other aspects. At the end of the visit, the participants introduced their recommendations for the continuous enhancement of work-based learning, drawing on both on-site observations and the study of a national report.
In turn, international peers shared their countries' practices in work-based learning and its quality assurance, highlighting the challenges and adopted solutions.
Such international exchange platforms foster the continuous enhancement of VET systems and support the adaptation of national strategies in line with evolving geopolitical and economic conditions.
