On November 21, ANQA held a meeting with the representatives of the Erasmus+ QA4VET project’s partner VET institutions. The key topic of discussion was the academic programme (AP) mapping.
As part of the project, each education institution will map the teaching methods and outcomes for an AP, followed by a SWOT analysis and a mock accreditation.
It was clarified which AP each institution is responsible for mapping, along with the principles for forming working groups.
It was highlighted that the AP mapping is a key component of the internal quality assurance system, which allows to:
- pinpoint issues in the outcome assessment;
- enhance academic programmes and increase the credibility of the awarded qualifications;
- build the capacity for independent development and introduction of APs;
- gain experience and prepare for accreditation.
It was also emphasised that education institutions should ensure maximum transparency in mapping, given that its purpose is capacity building and the enhancement of the educational process.
The QA4VET (Implementing Mock Accreditation for supporting quality assurance in Armenian VET institutions) project aims to enhance the VET quality in Armenia, developing and implementing mock accreditation processes and tools that support quality assurance in VET institutions, fostering the formation of education quality culture. The project intends to study European practice, strengthen Armenian specialists’ capacities and prepare recommendations for continuous quality enhancement in VET institutions, with a special emphasis on green and digital education.
