On April 23, a meeting with the main and associated VET partners took place as part of the Erasmus+ QA4VET project. The meeting introduced mock accreditation as a learning-oriented QA process that supports VET institutions in strengthening internal quality assurance systems.
The presentation highlighted that mock accreditation:
- promotes institutional learning and fosters an environment of continuous enhancement;
- supports the development of QA systems through collective feedback and evidence-based approaches;
- contributes to the formation of a quality culture within the institutions.
This approach provides a comprehensive understanding of the institutions’:
- strengths and weaknesses;
- development priorities.
The key project goal is to strengthen the quality culture within the VET system and enhance institutions’ QA processes, drawing on their own internal resources.
As part of the project, the following activities are planned:
- QA capacity-building training sessions for partner VET institutions;
- SWOT analyses at VET institutions based on the 10 institutional accreditation criteria, incorporating green and digital components;
- ANQA’s selection of two internal experts from each institution to evaluate their own institutions from an external perspective;
- half-day visits to each institution for further analysis and observations;
- following the visits, reports with enhancement-oriented recommendations for institutions.
