On March 12–13, ANQA's specialists conducted thematic training for staff members of VET institutions subject to institutional accreditation.
The participants will later join their institutions’ groups responsible for the preparation of self-evaluation and contribute to the analysis of institutional performance against the ten accreditation criteria.
During the two-day training, participants were introduced to:
- the accreditation stages and procedures;
- the institutional accreditation criteria and standards;
- the self-evaluation template and the peculiarities of its implementation;
- the key principles for the evaluation of VET institutions’ activities.
Particular emphasis was placed on the content of the third, fifth and seventh accreditation criteria and the methodology for their evaluation.
ANQA specialists emphasised that the self-evaluation should:
- be evidence-based and data-driven;
- be analytical;
- demonstrate the governance effectiveness, the institution’s distinctive features, best practices and development dynamics.
During the meeting, participants were introduced to the data to be collected under each accreditation criterion and the steps in the preparation of self-evaluation.
For institutions undergoing reaccreditation, particular emphasis was placed on the presentation of post-accreditation enhancements and challenge analysis.
Representatives from VET institutions undergoing reaccreditation also shared their practice, outlining the specific features and challenges of the preparation of self-evaluation for the second time. This input contributed to a substantive professional discussion among the participants.
During the training, ANQA's specialists responded to participants’ questions and noted that two additional training sessions are planned to facilitate more effective preparation for the accreditation process.
Accreditation is a continuous process that is aimed at the sustainable development of education quality and the effective performance of institutions.
