The desk review of the Dilijan State College of Arts has launched as part of the institutional accreditation. On September 28, ANQA held the first expert panel meeting.
The meeting addressed the key approaches to desk review, considering the peculiarities of arts-related vocational education at the institution.
Reference was made to:
- the specific features of vocational education in the arts, highlighting the interconnection between creative learning, practical preparation and the development of professional competences;
- the approaches to the academic programme (AP) review as part of institutional accreditation, with a particular emphasis on their content, modes of delivery, practical components and the targeted use of available resources;
- the reflection of the peculiarities of arts education in the institutional processes, considering the extent to which the institutional environment, resources and governance approaches support the effective AP implementation.
The meeting helped outline the key directions of the expert panel’s further work, providing a basis for the study of the institution’s self-evaluation report and the subsequent stages of the external review process.
