On June 23, ANQA held a meeting with the participation of the expert panel for the "Grigoris" Medical-Humanities College, ANQA’s director, head of the Institutional and Programme Accreditation Division and the process coordinator. As part of the institutional accreditation, a site visit is set to take place at the education institution.
The aim was to summarise the key observations, issues and hypotheses from the desk review that will guide the expert panel during the site visit.
The discussions focused on whether the education institution fully ensures the achievement of the AP outcomes and the extent to which the awarded qualifications are credible. It was highlighted that experts should keep their focus on this issue during the external review process.
Reference was also made to the key aspects of the educational process, particularly the procedures for the organisation and assessment of internships, the resource provision, and the recruitment of the teaching staff, including the mechanisms for the engagement of employer teachers. The ongoing outcomes of the implementation of the PDCA cycle were also addressed.
The meeting ended with an emphasis that the expert recommendations should be well-defined, practical and solution-oriented. The expert panel reports should provide comprehensive and evidence-based information, enabling the Accreditation Committee to make data-driven and objective decisions.
