On 6 December, a conference entitled “Economic Growth through Skills Development” will take place at Manoogian Hall of the American University of Armenia. The conference is organised by the National Centre for Professional Education Quality Assurance (ANQA).
The VET stakeholders’ conference aims to explore how the education system can contribute to economic growth, while also fostering dialogue between employers and vocational education and training institutions and creating opportunities for stronger cooperation.
The conference will feature a presentation entitled “Innovation, Entrepreneurship and the VET System: How to Contribute to Economic Growth”, which will provide an overview of the current statistics and highlight key challenges.
A panel discussion entitled “Economic Development: Aligning VET Programmes with Industry Needs” will focus on how VET institutions can align their educational programmes with the evolving needs of industry to ensure a skilled workforce that directly contributes to economic growth.
The second panel discussion, “Building a Skilled Workforce Delivers Tangible Economic Results: Presenting Successful VET Practices”, will explore how investment in VET can translate into measurable economic outcomes, including increased productivity, reduced unemployment and GDP growth.
