What is ANQA

             ANQA is an independent foundation for promoting quality education at tertiary level, established November 28, 2008. ANQA is founded and subsidized by the Armenian government and is projected to be financed through entrepreneurial initiatives. It is governed by the board of stakeholders and is independent of the Ministry of Education and Science and institutions at tertiary level. To provide audit/review and advising services, ANQA Team works with the local government and institutions at tertiary level. For internationalization purposes ANQA strives to broaden its cooperation via intensive collaboration with its foreign counterparts.


Learning Outcomes – as an Assessment Tool - 10/03/2010

Recent developments in higher education system at both national and international level ensure that while implementing quality assurance processes there is a dire need to express state academic standards in learning outcomes. Learning outcomes are the tools that can definitely measure the result of any academic programme and assess its quality. Moreover, this tool is functional to such an extent that can be applied to describe both sectoral, national, international frameworks and academic programmes.

Fundamental Approaches have been Agreed upon - 11/09/09

       On 9 September 2009, the National Center for Professional Education Quality Assurance, Foundation (ANQA) organized a meeting with the representatives of the state universities to discuss the mechanisms, as well as drafts of quality assurance standards and procedures developed by ANQA. The fundamental approaches that ANQA has developed for promoting quality evaluation and accreditation were presented during the meeting. The HEIs representatives approved these approaches and made several comments and suggestions.
